Where Southern Hospitality Begins


The HIV Care and Prevention Clinic serves a ten (10) county region in rural southern Ohio.  This is a free service that is grant funded by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Ohio Department of Health (ODH), and the Portsmouth City Health Department. 


The counties and the agencies served by this grant are:

 1.  Adams County/Adams County Health Department---2nd Thursday of each month


 2.  Brown County/Brown County Health Department---2nd Thursday of each month


 3.  Gallia County/University of Rio Grande---1st Thursday of each school month

 5.  Jackson County/New Alternatives--quarterly

 6.  Lawrence County/Lawrence County Health Department---2nd Monday of each month


 7.  Pickaway County/Pickaway County Health Department---4th Tuesday of each month


 8.  Pike County/no testing site/as requested

 9.  Ross County/Ross County Adult Parole Authority---2nd Tuesday of each month

If you would like to get a free HIV or Hepatitis C test, please contact your local facility to schedule an appointment.  Walk-ins are taken on a first come basis but you must first check to see if the HIV Intervention Specialist is there on that day.  For more information concernng HIV/AIDS or Hepatitis C, please contact Bobbi J.
