If you are ordered to appear in court (i.e. Hearing Notice or by Summons from a Law Enforcement Officer) you should make the effort to attend if safely possible. However, if the weather prohibits you from attending your scheduled court appearance, you need to report to the Clerk of Courts office by 8:30 a.m. the very next day to be placed on the docket to have your case heard. A Warrant will be issued for people who fail to appear. Reporting to the Clerk of Courts office to turn yourself in is the only way to have the Warrant lifted.
