The City of Portsmouth will be accepting applications for a Pool Manager for the 2021 Summer season at the McKinley Pool. Applicants for Pool Manager should submit a record of past experience with the operation and maintenance of a municipal swimming pool. List past experience in overseeing lifeguards and their responsibilities toward the safety of pool customers. This is a working manager’s position. The Pool Manager will be expected to participate in all aspects of preparing the pool for summer, continued cleaning and up-keep for the pool during the season, and final closing at the seasons end. Manager will be responsible for collecting fees, keeping the books, and delivering daily proceeds to the City. Applicants for lifeguard must have a current up-to-date Certification for Lifeguard, Standard First-Aid and CPR/AED for Lifeguards. Past experience is not mandatory, but would be a plus. The City of Portsmouth Sanitation Department is experiencing problems with having a clear path to empty the trash cans and the city is asking for the cooperation of the property owners or renters to make sure that the area is clear.
