The City of Portsmouth will be accepting applications for a Pool Manager for the 2021 Summer season at the McKinley Pool. Applicants for Pool Manager should submit a record of past experience with the operation and maintenance of a municipal swimming pool. List past experience in overseeing lifeguards and their responsibilities toward the safety of pool customers. This is a working manager’s position. The Pool Manager will be expected to participate in all aspects of preparing the pool for summer, continued cleaning and up-keep for the pool during the season, and final closing at the seasons end. Manager will be responsible for collecting fees, keeping the books, and delivering daily proceeds to the City. Applicants for lifeguard must have a current up-to-date Certification for Lifeguard, Standard First-Aid and CPR/AED for Lifeguards. Past experience is not mandatory, but would be a plus. This position requires good people skills and be capable of getting along with all ages, especially children and teens. There will be a meeting of the Cultural Affairs Committee on March 11, 2020 at 5:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Municipal Building at 728 2nd Street Portmouth, OH on the 2nd Floor. The meeting will follow the current open meetings regulations due to COVID-19 and will be live streamed via Facebook under Portsmouth City Government. Portsmouth Ohio. The city continues to follow the Governors orders and the meeting is closed to the public, however if you have a statement or concerns please email them before 3:00 pm on March 11th to City Clerk Diana Ratliff at [email protected] and it will be read during the meeting. Committee members will be required to wear masks.
